The Hachi Fund exists to step in when veterans and their families hit sudden financial crises, providing fast and direct support when it matters most.

It was originally started as a way to support a Marine Corps veteran in financial crisis.  His dog, Hachi, became suddenly ill and the Heavy Hitters Project stepped in to off set veterinarian costs. 

His namesake carries on in memorial.
